Organizational Meeting

To Pastors, Church, Auxiliary and Organization Secretaries Affiliate with the    Hammond Hill and Sunday School Congress of Christian Education:

Greetings in the name of Him who directs our steps:

The Hammond Hill Sunday School Convention/Congress of Christian Education was here yesterday, here today and will be here tomorrow.  After providing Christian education for one hundred fourteen (114) years and Gemenie Bowdre served as secretary for fifty-eight of the 114, the congress has added a new phase:  The Gemenie Bowdre Secretaries Commission, as a historical tribute to her and all secretaries in the district.

Therefore ALL SECRETARIES in churches affiliated with the Hammond Hill Sunday School and Congress of Christian Education are invited to the first Secretaries Commission meeting on Saturday afternoon, July 11, 2009, at 2:30 p. m. at the North Mississippi Baptist Education Convention Center on the Historic B.I. Campus.  This will be an organizational meeting.  We will need to elect officers, develop a mission statement and define our goals and objectives.  We will also make preparation for the Secretaries Commission Choir to sing in the general session of the congress.

We are also asking that the Hammond Hill Historical Committee and church history representatives attend this meeting.

Pastors are welcome.

Dr. Michael O. Minor, Dean of our congress is to be congratulated for his efforts in keeping alive the vision, visionaries and loyal supporters, both past and present, by identifying them with their special contribution as a memorable legacy.
